The watch is a precision machine. Therefore, in addition to daily self-care, regular overhaul is indispensable to use the watch for a long time. It means that disassemble to the parts unit, clean and reassemble it, and return to the performance state at the time of brand new. The main objective is cleaning work and replacement and adjustment of deteriorated parts which can not be done by ordinary inspection work. Generally it is said to be essential once in 3 to 5 years.

時計は精密機械である。そのため、時計を長く使うためには、日々のセルフケアに加えて、定期的なオーバーホールが不可欠である。部品単位まで分解して清掃・再組み立てを行い、新品時の性能状態に戻す。通常の点検作業では出来ない清掃作業や劣化部品の交換、調整を主目的としている。一般的には3～5年に一度は必須だと言われている。

Even waterproof watches should not be excessively exposed to the threat of water. If you operate the watch crown or button with moisture adhering, water enters inside the watch. If you take a bath while wearing a watch, ingredients such as steam, soap, hot springs will discolor and corrode the metal, and the packing will be deteriorated. If you wash your hands directly from the faucet, watering the watch causes waterproof failure because tap water has high water pressure. The watch is sometimes cloudy due to the temperature difference between the outside air and the inside of the watch. It will not be a problem if it is temporary. 防水時計であっても、過度に水の脅威に晒すことはさけなければならない。水分が付着したまま、リューズやボタンを操作する。(時計内部に水が入る。)時計を着用したまま入浴する。(蒸気・石鹸・温泉の成分などが金属を変色・腐食させたり、パッキンの劣化を早める。)手を洗う際に直接蛇口から水をかける。(水道水は水圧が高いため、防水不良を引き起こす。) 外気と時計内部の温度差によりくもりが生じることがあるが、一時的なものであれば問題ない。

It is called yellow gold that consists 750‰ of gold and the remainder of which is equivalent to silver and copper in the case of K18. It is a color similar to gold which is generally recognized, but it is more yellow than pure gold. Although K24 is clean in color and hard to change color, it is weak in intensity and expensive. On the other hand, K18 has strength and is cheaper than pure gold, so it can be a fancy design. K18の場合、金が750‰、残りが銀と銅が等量のものをイエローゴールドと言う。一般的に認知されている金色に近いが、純金に比べて黄色が強い。 K24は色が綺麗で変色しにくいが、強度が弱く、高価である。それに対して、K18は強度があり、純金よりは安価であるため、凝ったデザインにすることができる。
