"Repeater" is a mechanism that can know the current time with the sound of a bell by manually operating a button or a lever. There are many types of repeaters, such as a quarter / repeater notifying in units of 15 minutes, a Five Minutes / Repeater informing in units of 5 minutes, a Minutes / Repeater informing in 1 minute units. They made it possible to measure time even in the dark and were also used by visually impaired people.


「リピーター」は、ボタンまたはレバーを手動で操作し、鐘の音で現在時刻を知ることができる機構のことである。15分単位で知らせるクオーター・リピーター、5分単位で知らせるファイブミニッツ・リピーター、1分単位で知らせるミニッツ・リピーターなど、多くのタイプのリピーターがある。それらは、暗闇でも時間を測定することを可能にし、視覚障害者によっても使用された。
