In the 1980s, the mechanical watches began to be reevaluated, and the popularity of Swiss manufactured luxury mechanical watches reignited. And the watch industry in Japan lost market share due to the trend of Établisseur in the Swiss watch industry and the emergence of assembly makers in Asia. The craftsmen with Japanese watch technology had been culled because Japanese were inclined to the quartz watch.
