The restoration of the Japanese watch industry.

Seiko began exploring new watches with restoration from the mid 1980's. They had been promoting the development of Grand Seiko's revival(refocusing on mechanical wristwatches), Viscous-Sweep System, Kinetic(AGS), Spring Drive, etc. Currently, radio-controlled wristwatch, satellite radio-controlled watch is also now on sale.


1980年代なかばから、セイコーは復権をかけて新たな腕時計の模索を始めた。グランドセイコーの復活(機械式腕時計への再注力)、ビスカススイープ・キネティック(AGS)・スプリングドライブなどの開発を進め、現在は、電波腕時計・衛星電波腕時計も発売している。
